This Weeks Community: Palm Harbor
This community has a great historic downtown with
cute shops and restaurant/bars that frequently
feature live music. The downtown is also home to numerous events with one of the most popular being the
Citrus Festival held in January. In October is a rocking
Rocktoberfest. This year will be the 41st Annual Palm Harbor Arts Festival in early December. Later in December is the Holiday Parade. Palm Harbor is home to two wonderful parks including
Wall Springs Park, which has a natural spring once used as a spa and
bathing area. Currently you can enjoy a boardwalk, viewing tower and picnic shelters.
John Chesnut Park is on Lake Tarpon, the largest Lake in the County. It includes nature trails, picnic areas, a dog park, boat launch, softball field, and a horseshoe pit,
CSA Palm Harbor is the local non-profit charged with managing the parks, recreation and leisure services within the unincorporated community of Palm Harbor. Palm Harbor is
probably best known for
Innisbrook and
Championship Golfing. It's Copperhead Course is home to the PGA Tour's Valspar Championship. To learn more about the community go to

Mystic Fish, winner of an Open Table 2014 Diners Choice
Award. The decor is fabulous and fun and includes aquariums with tropical fish. The food
is always fresh with the specials based on what's

Bridget. Being on the water paddleboarding feels meditative to me and it was a lot of fun to bring Bridget along for the ride. She always enjoyed standing on the bow of a canoe while exploring rivers back home in Michigan so I hoped she would enjoy this as well. She did and it really was a perfect Florida day.
